Slippery Elm bark is tough, yet flexible, and has a fibrous texture. It smells similar to Fenugreek but has a very mucilaginous taste. The soothing mucilage can be made as tea or used in ointments, poultices, throat lozenges and skin care products.

Directions: To use as a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1/2 tsp. of herb, cover and steep 3-5 minutes.
