It is also packed with essential vitamins and minerals. Almost every herbal tradition has noted it as a useful tonic for the liver and gallbladder. Our Dandelion Root can be used fresh in green drinks, salads and stews in miniscule amounts to add nutritional value. Our bulk dandelion root is kosher certified and non-irradiated.

    • Product Features: This powerful little plant can be found growing from the deep south in the United States to the Arabian Peninsula to 12,000 feet in the Himalayas, and is often considered a common weed.

      • In the Himalayas, it's gathered for use in Ayurvedic medicine.
      • In the United States, various native American cultures considered it a prized plant.
      • Other common names include lion's tooth and swine's snout.
    • Origin: Bulgaria

    • Directions: To use as a tea, add 2 teaspoons herb to a tea infuser and place in a tea cup. Pour boiling water over infuser, cover, and steep for 3 to 5 minutes.

    • Suggested uses: Use in teas and salads. For a savory salad mix, combine with a pinch each of nutmeg, garlic, onion and lemon peel.
