Pennyroyal oil has a minty, herbal, woody aroma. Documented use of Pennyroyal dates back to ancient Greek, Roman, and Medieval cultures were the people would smear the crushed leaves on their skin to keep flees away. Today, Pennyroyal still used to keep unwanted pests away. It's worth nothing that, in high amounts, Pennyroyal is thought to be toxic.
